Odin's Ravens is the second book of the The Blackwell Pages, written by K.L. Armstrong and M.A. Marr.

Blurb[]

Seven kids, Thor's hammer, and a whole lot of Valkyries are the only things standing against the end of the world.

When thirteen-year-old Matt Thorsen, a modern day descendant of the Norse god Thor, was chosen to represent Thor in an epic battle to prevent the apocalypse he thought he knew how things would play out. Gather the descendants standing in for gods like Loki and Odin, defeat a giant serpent, and save the world. No problem, right?

But the descendants' journey grinds to a halt when their friend and descendant Baldwin is poisoned and killed and Matt, Fen, and Laurie must travel to the Underworld in the hopes of saving him. But that's only their first stop on their journey to reunite the challengers, find Thor's hammer, and stop the apocalypse—a journey filled with enough tooth-and-nail battles and larger-than-life monsters to make Matt a legend in his own right.[1]

Dedication[]

M.A. Marr: To Dylan—
I present to you a gift of goats (and also a book written for and because of you).

K.L. Armstrong: To Alex and Marcus—
Yep, another book for you. It’s almost as cool as having your own Minecraft server, right?

Plot[]

The descendants of the Norse gods are back, ready to fight for the survival of their world. Matt, Fen, and Laurie go to Hel to recue Baldwin, the descendant of Balder. Once he's back to the land of the living and is alive again, they find out Owen escaped the Raiders, but not without paying the price. Owen rescues Reyna and Rey, and soon the seven kids are ready to find Thor's Hammer.

Once the hammer is found, however, Glamir, king of the Dragurs steals it from Matt. With some help from Thor's Goats, Odin's Beserkers, and the Valkyries, the Descendants of the North storm the dragur King's base, and regain the hammer.
